COURSES

Gas Diploma

Energy Training Centre Gas Diploma courses have been running since 2011, qualifying approximately 16 engineers a year.

Wheher you are a new entrance to the industry or you are a plumber wanting to add gas on to your diversity of work capabilities this course will suit you.

Before we accept you onto a Diploma course we will arrange an informal interview with you to ascertain whether you are starting from scratch or have any experience such as pipework skills, pipe fitting, using hand tools, building construction, recongnition of gas appliances, knowledge of the industry etc. After the interview we will then allocate you a place in a group suitable for your current skills/experience should you want to go ahead.

The course duration is approximately 6 to 12 months (depending on previous skills / experience) with candidates attending the centre 2 or 3 days a month. The class sizes are usually a ratio of 4 to one trainer/assessor so we keep the group more focused.

Candidates will need to have access to work with a current Gas Safe Registered engineer to build a portfolio of evidence before enrolling on the course.

Once the Gas Diploma and portfolio of "on site" evidence has been completed, a certificate will be awarded allowing the candidate to undertake thier final ACS assessments.

ACS assessments offered to successful Diploma candidates are:-
CCN1
CENWAT1
HTR1
CKR1

Please note the elements of these individual assessments can only be undertaken if the Diploma portfolio evidence has been captured and the Diploma certificate has the individual elements listed.
