Commercial Natural Gas 

CODNCO1, COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, ICPN1, MET4 
(Changeover from domestic to commercial, Core Commercial Gas Safety, Radiant heaters, Indirect/direct fired boilers, tightness testing & purging of all pipe work systems, Installation of pipe work, to include steel, copper and fittings, Meters up to 40 cubic meters per hour) 
Are you a domestic engineer wishing to extend your scope of work to commercial? Are you already a commercial engineer requiring a renewal? If so then these are the course for you. 

Re-assessment?? 

On expiry, engineers are eligible to take re-assessment. The re-assessment can be taken up to 6 months prior to the expiry date of the last assessment without losing out (MOT Style). Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence of holding the initial qualification. Candidates wishing to take re-assessment must have held the assessment element previously – if this element has expired over 12 months of the assessment date, it will be necessary to take the initial assessment.

All initial candidates must provide proof of being on the Gas Safe register for at least 12 months before applying for training / assessments 

Course Summary 

COCN1/CODNCO1:Core Commercial Gas Safety OR Changeover from domestic to commercial: Tightness testing principles, pipe volume, purge volumes, Commercial pipework, Pipe sizing, Pipework defects and faults, Unsafe situations and emergency actions, Appliance controls, Combustion, Commercial flues, Gas safety legislation, Commercial ventilation 
 
CORT1/CIGA1/CDGA1: covers the commission, service, repair and breakdown of commercial radiant plaque, radiant tube heaters, Indirect and direct fired heaters, boilers. It covers the checking operations of safety components and recognition of faults and appliance installation and servicing. 
 
TPCP1/ICPN1: All Commercial Testing and Purging of Pipework to IGE/UP/1 up to 16 Bar operating pressure & 1st Fix pipework above 35mm
